Lewis Hodgson

23 year old race car driver Lewis Hodgson grew up in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney, Australia.

Lewis Hodgson began racing at the young age of 9 years old to pursue his number one passion in life.

After progressing to the international racing stage in 2021, Lewis competed in the 2023 Formula 4 US Championship with Crosslink/Kiwi Motorsport. Only competing in half of the championship, he came away with 2 podiums, all top 10 finishes and placed 9th out of 44 in the overall season standings.

Hailing from Sydney, Australia, it has been Lewis’ long term goal to compete against the world’s best – a goal made reality by his determination, hard-work, skill and an incredible group of supporters.

2010: Started racing at the age of 9

2014: After reaching success on a state level, Lewis began competing on a national stage in the Rotax Pro Tour and the Australian Kart Championship

2016: Joined one of the most successful national teams within Australia, Compkart Australia, who had achieved 3 national championships and 24 state titles

2019: Stepped back from racing to learn and work as a mechanic and driver trainer, aside from a one-off karting race at the NSW state titles where Lewis finished first in qualifying after being sidelined for 12 months.

2020: Lewis was given the opportunity to experience American motorsport with the Crosslink Competition F4/FR team, based in Dallas, Texas. He was given the chance drive their F4 car at their local test track.

2021: Lewis’ motor racing plans were put on hold in 2021 due to COVID. Lewis later returned to the US after lockdown where he was stronger than ever and tested in the Formula 4 car, setting a Crosslink/Kiwi Motorsport lap record.

Competing in the SKUSA SuperNationals at the end of 2021, Lewis qualified 14th out of 88 to then charge forward from 26th to 9th place in the US Karting SuperNationals final.
